Is there any contribution of pore volume or pore size of the particles. I have to explain the following query
iron, tin and titina particle size were 7,10 and 20 nm. But adsorption pattern was greater for titina having large size but according to size iron NPs should have greater adsorption.
What are the BET specific surface areas(SSA) and point of zero charge (PHPZC) of Iron, Tin and Titina oxide materials? Adsorption of any pollutant onto substrate largely depend on BET SSA and pHPZC. It is very difficult to correlate adsorption data with pore volume and pore size distribution.
What method did you use to determine the size. XRD is not reasonable to analyse effects of aggregation, amorphous surfaces. XRD might be useful for the same material fabricated using the same/similar method resulting in different sizes.
Iron and tin will react with oxygen.
