Providing Security for Communication channel is one the main area as far as High Performance Computing is concerned. Another thing is application Security. But Communication Channel is important where lot of research work was undertaken.
After a secure communication path is established, it is still necessary to protect the local host. This capability is best done with the use of multi-level security.
