I want to know some best practices of managing solid waste for mountainous tourist sites in different part of the world. The sites may be religious places, natural tourism sites, where several thousands of visitors travel by either through foot path or by cable car. Now, the question is how to manage the solid waste generated by visitors, service providers ( kiosks, restaurants, flower shops etc. ) at the top of destination sites. If there is no space available for treatment and disposal at the top of mountain, what are the best sustainable ways of collection and transportation of waste from top to bottom hill, where waste trucks can collect for secondary transportation?
