I am working on the biodegradable composites which support the bone inside the body and will dissolve in the body after healing the bone cracks.

I have published in 1998 a paper in Brazilian Journal of Orthopedics, using pins reinforced from polyglycolic acid, made in Finland, for treatment of elbow fractures in children and adolescents. The result was good with consolidation of all fractures. Unfortunately the paper was published in Portuguese, but you can do more research, using the references at the end of my paper.(see enclosed)

Complete biodegradation is not important prerequisite for bone implantation materials. For the biodegradable bone scaffold, natural ECM-derived materials (for example, collagen or hyaluronan) is the best. Addition of calcium phosphate based particles would increase mechanical strength and control biodegradation of ECM-derived scaffolds. I do not recommend synthetic polymer as bone replancement materials, as you know, certain degree of inflammatory reaction during biodegradation process is not evitable. Unfortunately, I do not catch what you mean exacatly. So, I belived that more detailed question would help other reseachers to give you better answers.
I am working on biocompatible, biodegradable and nontoxic biopolymer-Polyhydroxyalkanoates [(Poly(3hydroxybutyrate-co-3hydroxyvalerate)copolymer]. You can perform the experiment using the biopolymer as a component of polymer based composites.
my idea is that biomimetic nanostructured hydroxyapatites are the best material for bone regeneration
