Dear Scholars,
I have suggested the proposed model of the UTAUT( the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology) by Venkatesh et al. (2012) in my reserach proposal of tourist acceptance of new technology. As the UTAUT and UTAUT2 have reviewed 8 dominant models and came to specific framework by Venkatesh I need strong evidence of the beneficial aspects of UTAUT model that cover my literature.
I will really appreciate whether relative references been introduced.

The major advantage of using the the model suggested by Venkatesh is that it has included the demographic and experience as factor in the model itself. This makes it more suitable to be used for a product or service oriented research in b2c area. The traditional TAM models were more often used to adoption of technologies (computers, IT) at the workplace where an individual may not have a free will to say no to such technologies.
Still I would suggest that you go through the literature and dont get stuck on any particular model. You can add or subtract factors/constructs according to your study. See some studies done in the field of service sector, you will get a better idea.

Hey, I am using UTAUT model to examine factors influencing adoption and acceptance of mobile technologies in K-12. My study is qualitative study. There are a lot of evidence about the reliability, validity of UTAUT to predict factors impact adoption of new technology from teachers' perspectives.
I would like to find a modified UTAUT instrument that measures perceived security risks/threats by teachers. Does anyone know where I can find one?

Suggest you use a theoretical model thought approach in writing your paper and add an additional model in support of UTAUT. It continues today as an acceptance model, but very little literature supports today's user acceptance behaviors

2. Ventakesh and team has emperically proven that pe, ee, si among the major factors to bi and fc to actual usage compared to other 8 tech acceptance theories.
3. Not to outdated and still many major scholars adapring said theory.
