Hi, linearization is wildly used in mathematics. You can for example linearize dynamical equations in order to obtain a closed-form solution or linearize the cost function and constraints of a nonlinear programming problem etc.. Perhaps you should focus on a particular domain to better highlight the role of linearization

I need a text that says that linearization in that context will enhance the ability to solve the model and/or reduce the computational effort and time.
