What do you use to show 3-D visualization from software such as ArcGIS or MVS/EVS during a web conference? Our current software has significant lag when you try to rotate a 3-D object, etc. Thanks for the suggestions.
We had good experiences with join.me, a simple, web-based screen sharing. The update times and image quality was pretty decent (imho better than Skype screen sharing) even when using it in combination with Skype for telephony. The pro version even has some tools for collaborative use (although I have not tried this yet).
Jitsi Videobridge is a WebRTC compatible Selective Forwarding Unit (SFU) that allows for multiuser video communication. Unlike expensive dedicated hardware videobridges, Jitsi Videobridge does not mix the video channels into a composite video stream. It only relays the received video flows to all call participants. Therefore, while it does need to run on a server with good network bandwidth, CPU horsepower is not critical for performance.
