My research topic is innovation in developing countries ( in Africa). Evaluating sectors in agriculture, energy and healthcare. I need some recommendation for actors that can influence this project. I have said the United Nations based on the sustainable development goals.
I think civil society and the third sector could be an interesting area to look in. Since it is really about people coming together to solve, with limited resources, real social-economic-environmental challenges they are facing.
The Design Management field might be with substantial added value for your research. Especially the Design Thinking aspect which strongly linked with creativity and innovation.
The practice of innovation must be managed like any other key function in the company and must be integrated as a key capacity through a process that has defined stages and specific tools. On the base of a cultural framework based on alternating exploration and execution, this process will enable organizations to manage, create and capture new value (models business) using a strategic map of growth based on products, services and relevant interactions for customers (experiences). Other considerations: 1- Document your innovation process as a means of learning: Documenting the innovation process allows it to be replicable and systematic throughout the organization and over time. At the same time, it gives us the possibility of identifying what works well or what element we should improve. An innovation process must contain at least: 1) The stages that make up the process, 2) The methodologies that will be used in each stage, 3) The roles and responsibilities of the stakeholders 4) The evaluation criteria for the project to continue to the next stage and finally , 5) The necessary resources at each stage, both human and monetary. It is also recommended to incorporate process metrics. 2-Develop projects in short, medium and long-term horizons. 3- Deepen and train people in key skills based on existing methods and tools. 4-Make your innovation process tangible the prototype base.
