Peacemaking, peacekeeping, and peacebuilding process is depends on many other factors. Education is one of the key elements to solve or mitigate the security issues pertaining to any place. Social, economic, governance, health, electricity, drinking water, road & transportation, law & order, empolyment, govt. policy, education, political will & leadership etc are interrelated. So my view is that education lonely can not solve any security issue especially internal problems.
As far as literature or other written materials related to peace and conflict studies, it is available on online platforms.

Thank you so much for all of your thoughts and suggestions! Professor Menkes, I would love to hear more about your paper! This is exactly what I was thinking about. My research has shown me education systems are themselves complicated, often the space where where violence is enacted through its hierarchies, processes and punishment as well as legitimised through its content delivery. Often, topics like war, genocide or terrorism, among others, are factual and framed as an inevitable part of our history. Similarly, as a system, it can be argued that schools are, much like prisons, hopitals and others, systems of control.
You will be surprised by my answer but you will be even more shocked after researching it yourself. So here is my answer.
Study banking, finance, and debt. To begin with, read Debt: The First 5,000 Years Paperback, by David Graeber. Then read about (almost) all central banks around the world that report to no one save BIS.
Then research what happens to the countries that do not succumb to BIS?
I give you 4 examples. Iraq (under Saddam Hussein.), Iran (today), Syria (today), and Libya (Khaddafi). Many more!
From there on, you will understand why Social and Political sciences are mainly smoke screens. Most of them faulty and contain false or twisted knowledge. Most notably curriculum on economics, civics, international laws and governance.
Exceptions are STEM (Science (natural), Technology, Engineering and Math) as they are difficult to perverse and corrupt.

In the meantime, I suggest you also read the work by Prof Richard Werner, who is the first to empirically proven that the finance and banking theories, as contained in all (most) economics textbooks and universities curriculum around the world, are false. This includes over 200 years of belief in (not science) foreign investment which almost all developing countries have been duped to believe in. And if they do not follow, they will be attacked economically, and financially, such as in the Asian Financial Crisis in 1997/1998, and militarily destroyed, such as those 3 of the 4 examples I shared earlier.
Prof Werner also showed the correct theory of which because of his finding, central bankers have come out almost immediately after his publication in 2014, admitting his finding was correct, after being hidden from the public since the 1800s.
Relevant to Prof Werner's finding, you may want to read the Bank of England, Bundes Bank of Germany, and Bank of Canada publications, to name a few.
However, the damage was done through economic textbooks which until today are still being preached dogmatically around the world. Almost all countries' economic development planners adopted this false knowledge. Strangely developed countries adopted totally different approaches.
