What are potential applications of carbon nanocoils?

Because of the unique 3D helical morphologies, CNCs have more outstanding mechanical and electromagnetic properties than those of CNTs and are expected to have wide applications, which can be used in electromagnetic wave absorbers, ﬁeld emission devices, micro/nano electro mechanical systems, catalysis, etc. Are there any other potential applications for this special carbon nanostructures?
