I need help trying to figure out how to wireless control an electric motor with a small handheld device while underwater to depths as much as 100 feet but while only being 10 feet or less distance between the motor and controller.  Being hard connected with a wire is not an option unfortunately...

I would like to control motor speed and direction of rotation. I would also like to have feed back from the motor via a micro controller that reports motor rpm, battery charge, and temperature.

I have read about VLF for underwater comms but since my application does not require any significant distance I am investigation other viable options.

Any help on this matter is very appreciated.

Also, as for the motor itself, the application requires the most torque with the least power consumption and heat generation. Motor max speed will be 1000 rpm. I am looking into servo, stepper, dc motor, and brushless motors as possible candidates for the initial design.. Any suggestions along these lines is also very appreciated.

Best Regards.
