Riots are now regular phenomenon for the urban areas due to various reasons. There is ample literature on the nature of riots and its impacts. But its the Urban local bodies (ULB) which affects most due to damage to public properties. The services are mostly affected due to lack of movement of the public servants. The tax payers in current times do not like the service disruption which may happen during the riots. The local bodies has the onus of providing the services must have rights and privileges to run the services as they like. What can be nature of study for such impact analysis? In what manner legislative changes required to incorporate this into the disaster management plans.
This will make the urban businesses suffer losses from businesses closed down. In addition, traders will also be troubled because they have no provision for the day, Riots will cause foreign tourists to fled to other countries. You can look at the economic loss as a result of riot to the urban, community and the country as a whole by gathering information on the urban contribution to GDP per day within the nation.
Surge capacity of the local jurisdictions to handle events that, in some cases are unannounced. Keeping up with protestors/rioters who are using social media to "out maneuver" local authorities. The ability to sustain operations over prolonged periods.
When to call for mutual aid.
Coordination with allied public safety agencies.
Accurate tracking of the incident in real time. This is the only way for law enforcement to keep up with a dynamic situation.
From a political standpoint, different legislation and a changes relationship to elected oversight is missing just about everywhere
Riots are nothing new. Uncoordinated riot-inclined individuals agglomerate at Schilling focal points, and the authorities are well-advised to do likewise.
