I wonder democratic mind in education, components of democratic mind, and how to promote it into instructional practices. Please let me know the sources of democratic mind.
I have found Gert Biesta's work on education and democrcy helpful. Also the Swedish research on popular education has much good material on the subject of learning democracy.

Democratic mind in education is circumstantial. Depending on the nature of the school/college/university environment and how the country is administered, I hazard a democratic mind in education in the following ways:
1. It exhibits itself through freedom of expression. Learners, teachers and education supervisors and administrators demonstrate democratic minds by freely sharing their ideas with colleagues, learners and society without fear.
2.It associates itself through freedom of thought. This is related to freedom of expression in that education personnel and learners should never be myopic, fastidious and pedantic thinkers. They should be able to think without a box in whatever they will be doing. They should so with conviction to underscore their freedom of thought.
3. It manifests itself through academic autonomy. Educators and learners need a high degree of academic freedom to allow them to fulfil and pursue their intellectually nourishing endeavours without doubt, fear or reprimand.
4. It is characterised by independent decision making. Educators and their disciples need a latitude to enable them make decisions that make stand on their own in an educational organisation and make an impact in the society as well.
