Obesity is a multifactorial problem as many factors can cause it starting from genetics, environment , nutrition, physical Activity , psychosocial factors
Obesity occurs when you take in more calories than you burn through exercise and normal daily activities. Our body stores these excess calories as fat.
From my observations, obesity is not just about calories in and calories out, although that directly affects our weight. I see that hormones like cortisol play a great part. When we are stressed and lack sleep, the body will protect itself by building up energy stores of fat, often in the abdomen. We may tell ourselves that we are in no danger of hunger, but the body doesn't understand and may not take a cue to burn fat. Have a good day and let's not be stressed.
