Some inverter topology having less number of dc sources than conventional cascaded h bridge inverter, what is the specific feature of reducing dc sources
Each DC source requires, in addition to power devices and passives, issolation between its input and output. Issolation can be achieved in different maners (electronic power converters with galvanic issolation, e.g. DAB, LF transformers, ... ) but in general will be tricky and expensive.
Using reduced number of insulated DC supplies in MV inverter applications, its possible to reduce the costs concerning the numbers of MV cables connected from the transformer to the input rectifiers (these last will connected to the MV inverters).
