I'm preparing a master student course on enterprise architecture. In this 7 day course we teach enterprise architecture from an theoretical and practical perspective. Topics that we teach are the context of EA, the role of EA in digital transformation, the what and why of EA principles and EA models, frameworks like TOGAF and ArchiMate, the role of stakeholders and communication etc. My question is: what academic paper on EA do you recommend for this course and why?
There are three basic components that make up the creation of an enterprise architecture framework: description, design method and organization. The description of an architecture should outline how the enterprise will be documented, as well as how the documentation can be viewed from multiple viewpoints.
