Iran and Germany each are home for approx. 80 million people.

So 4 times more results per capita for Germany.

It is obvious that developed countries are more developed (!) so no surprise if there are more successful architectural or building projects in them. They typically have more budget, more media coverage, etc.

Nevertheless, I would say, 200 results for Iran is also a noticeable number.

The gap between developed and developing countries is arguably getting smaller gradually. In this regard, see the following paper:

third world countries have the most eye catching buildings in their capitals just to attract foreign investment, tourists, researchers ,and others.
