I am writing to address an issue with the 50x objective lens of the Olympus confocal microscope attached to the UniRAM spectrometer, which is used for Raman spectroscopy. The 50x objective lens has been exposed to unwanted Hg(NO3)2 vapor, resulting in the formation of a halo layer. Consequently, the images produced are blurry, and the Raman signal is weak.
Does anyone have any suggestions for removing this halo layer?
Thank You
