What is mean by failed, is it quality or infrastructure failure ? In case of Infrastructure failure, It might be user carelessness and improper user. It might be also poor quality of maintenance
I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "infrastructure" failure, the concrete vessels look intact, can you describe the "failure". Perhaps a schematic of the system showing pumps, process flow and pipe diameters. Most importantly - what was the loading of the system? (volume and rate)? was this raw sewage?
Hi could you describe what happened? try to orientate te us in the following way.: 1) the water quality out ot the treatment is still polluted......(what contaminants?); 2) the water amunt (flux) has diminished. In any of both cases I should make a deep cleaning because the sand filter or the aereation tank may bee dirty. Give us more details please.
Hi, It appears that the water treatment process includes cascade aeration, slow sand filtration, and chlorination. No information on raw water source and the water quality. If the 'failure' is related to volume of treated water production then the filter may be clogged due to suspended solids and flocs such as clay, algae, iron complex.
Quick solution - remove top 150-200 mm of sand from the slow sand filter.
Permanent solution - If hydraulic allows provide a sedimentation tank between aeration unit and sand filter ( this will remove some of the suspended solids before the filter).
An observation: The chlorine contact tank is made of galvanised steel. The life of the tank is limited due to imperfect coating or damage to coating.
Fail means it is not working. We have not been able to get all details behind it's failure. It is not purifying water. Soon I will post pictures of all details and hope you all will help.
It is better to look the functional water treatment unit component and go to mitigation measure, which unit treatment unit fail to treat? and cross check the construction quality and monitoring system? and so on? or research it to get a better result more than the expert comment
