I am an independent researcher and my field of interests are Puppetry, Folklore, Traditional belief systems and customs. I need funding support to carry out my work. Are they any overseas universities or institutions ready to back with funding or fellowship or scholarship towards the same?
Secondly, can they provide the same for doctoral research work?
I suggest you try Canada and Germany. You can also try internal grants from your state government or local organisations. This may require a strong proposal or business case. After all there is no harm in trying. Just drop an unsolicited proposal and begin to do a follow up. Sometimes you may not succeed but other opportunity will be exposed to you. Thank you so much Michael Karikari Appiah for your response. I have and am trying with local institution for funding too. Unless it sounds the work of importance or so they don't want to fund. Same may be with most of the institutions.
