I have a powder composed of NaCl molecule and I want to know the technical approach to visualise it on Transmission Electron Microscopy so I can see the shape and the form, is it possible?
Vladimir Dusevich Technically, we tried to dilute the NaCl in ethanol than we put in TEM grid. However, the NaCl couldn't support the electron bombardement and we couldn't have clear images. So I ask if there is a method that I can use it to have a better visualization.
There is no such thing as NaCl molecule (just for information - a lot of compounds does not consists of moleculres). If you want to see particles of powder, you may want to use film coated TEM grids and drop casting method.
