It is certainly true that food is not sterile (whether organic or not organic) and can be a source of pathogens. There are numerous instances of both bacterial and viral infections from plant produce. However this is not limited to only organic produce, it is also quite prevalent in normal non-organic produce as well.
I have seen an opinion, that the hepatitis delta virus can originate from plant viroid. And it can even infect some plant species (but I can't find this article again).
"Some examples of microorganisms that are reported causing problems in humans and plants include some bacteria, fungi but also their products (toxins, etc). An example of this is the bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa, which can cause a weak, soft rot of plants such as lettuce. In people with compromised immune systems, this bacterium is known to infect the urinary tract, lungs, blood, and burns and other wounds. It is especially common in hospitalized patients whose immune systems are compromised by severe burns, cancer, AIDS, or cystic fibrosis. For most of us (and for most healthy plants), P. aeruginosa is not a concern." [1]
