Is there any pattern or personality traits or characteristics which could make a potential victim more susceptible to be chosen by criminals or gender related crimes?
I suppose it is possible to look into the phenomenon/construct of masochism here, but it is not easily measured since it is often functioning outside of awareness for those characterized by it. A more directly accesible candidate would be the interpersonal styles of non-assertiveness, over-accomodation and exploitability, as operationalized in interpersonal theory and measurable e.g. with the IIP-64.
I dont think, that there are specifitc traits or a type of personality that one could point out to say that makes a victim more susceptible to be chosen as a victim. Victims do not choose to be victims.
Masochism? Why? What parameter are you using to have this conclusion? From my perspective its not exactla a case of masoquism. There are several evidences that could trace personality characteristics which is not correlated with sef harm.
