There is accumulation of CO2 in the air conditioned spaced over a period of time if the room is not well ventilated.

This accumulation of CO2 can be the cause of following:

  • Suffocation, Discomfort, Sick building syndrome (SBS) symptoms
  • Risk of allergic manifestations among children
  • Poor sleep quality and a reduced next-day performance
  • Yawn/ Lethargic feeling.

I want to work on the ventilation of air conditioned space in accordance to indian climatic condition (where inlet-outlet temperature difference in summers goes up to 34 degree celsius).

with increase in temperature the cooling load is increased but our system does not care about ventilation.

Is there any ventilation strategy which can be applied so that the CO2 level in the occupied space can be brought to acceptable limits with minimum energy consumption?

Thanks!
