Hi Everyone,

I am doing hexavelent Cr from DPC method with UV -vis spectrophotometer and I need to do Cr (III) also. For this I have referred some papers in which they mentioned

For the measurement of total Cr concentration, the solution was first oxidized by ammonium persulfate in an acidic condition at 100

°C. The total Cr concentration was determined by the same

procedures as the Cr(VI) measurement by DPC method. APS was added into the desorption solution for the oxidation of Cr(III) to Cr(VI), and therefore the measured Cr(VI) concentration was the total Cr concentration. The Cr(III) concentration was calculated from the

difference between the total Cr and Cr(VI) concentration.

I need the detailed procedure of the method.
