I would like to initiate a discussion on the topic of utilizing correlations between parameter values in solving optimal control problems. I find this area of research of great potential, since results I received in the frame of my PhD research looked promising (my paper with first results: DOI:10.25728/cs.2023.4.5 ).
In our rapidly changing world, systems often face uncertainty and complexity. By incorporating correlations between parameter values, we can potentially gain valuable insights and improve the quality and efficiency of optimal control. The relationships between different variables and parameters in the system provide crucial information that can be harnessed to enhance control strategies.
I propose several discussion topics for consideration:
1. Applying correlations in optimal control: How can correlations be effectively utilized to improve the performance of optimal control? What strategies and approaches can be employed to incorporate correlations into the optimization process?
2. Uncovering hidden correlations: How can hidden correlations between parameter values be identified? What statistical analysis or machine learning techniques can be employed to reveal and leverage these correlations?
3. Challenges and limitations of utilizing correlations: What challenges and limitations exist when incorporating correlations into optimal control? What issues may arise when managing a system?
My goal is to explore scalable methods for incorporating correlations into optimization and investigate their practical feasibility and effectiveness.
