I am planning to use FEM to compare different types of implant in biomechanical study, and I want to compare the pulling out potential between them. In this case, may I measure the shear stress on the screw surface of each implant and use it being the pulling out potential between different implants? For example, the higher shear stress occurred of implant 1 means it has more chance to be failure compared with others.

Just stating implants is not enough to answer this question; are we talking shafts, screws, hip stems? They all have different conditions and hence different answers. Tio save you any further grief you need to define the type of implant and hence the type of fixation, then a quick search on google scholar will provide all the info you need.
