I am working on a pour point depressant synthesis project and I already went through a lot of papers but not a single one mentioned using side chain monomer in the grafting process longer than stearyl.

What difficulties I may face if instead of stearyl, I use a very long-chain monomer like Tetracosanoyl methacrylate? How far the performance of the newly constructed grafted polymer may change?
