In Indian subcontinent - line transect sampling have been used to estimate the herbivore population from late 90's. But somewhere it was done in multiple seasons whereas in other places it was done only in single season either summer or winter. I am in search of a scientific article or reference where proper logic has been developed for performing the sampling during a single season or multiple seasons. Kindly provide such reference.
