Different modelling centres have given the historical runs for their GCMs, in this respect I am looking for some studies which seems to Identify the models able to simulate the Indian Summer Monsoon and its features in a more comprehensive and realistic manner.
Any update will be appreciated.

Generally speaking, the most recent versions of GCMs are capable of resolving Indian monsoon, at least to some extent, although all have their limitations. There is an analysis by Acharya et al (2011) who showed that models underestimate the inter-annual variability in India, so some additional steps were suggested in Singh et al (2012), who advocate using the canonical correlation analysis for improving model predictions. There are several studies which focused on Indian monsoon and other precipitation related studies by using CMIP5 models. I strongly suggest you to use ensemble of CMIP5 model for your studies.
