I am using MPI to enable parallel computation in Abaqus，as far as I know, when submitting Abaqus jobs using PBS script, the command used is not something like mpirun opt1 arg1 opt2 arg2 etc., but rather the Abaqus-provided commands such as abaqus job=jobname. I have tried using commands like mpirun opt1 arg1 opt2 arg2 etc., but they resulted in even more error messages.

And these errors seemed unrelated to the objective of my simulation, I have tested several Abaqus explicit analysis programs, and all of them resulted in similar errors. This leads me to believe that it might be an issue related to the Abaqus software configuration or environment setup, but I cannot pinpoint the exact cause. Thank you again for your assistance.

1. Testing Without the Script:

I tested the Abaqus command directly without using my script, as you suggested. Unfortunately, the same errors occurred. This indicates that the issue might not be related to my script.

2. Environment File Checks:

I spent a amount of time checking the environment configuration file against the official documentation. I also compared it with the configuration file from my Windows PC, where the MPI works fine. Despite these efforts, I haven’t been able to identify any missing or incorrect parameters.

3. MPI Configuration:

The problem seems to be related to the MPI configuration. I found that when I use the threads parallel computation mode, the parallel computation works. This suggests that the MPI configuration might indeed be the source of the issue.

4. Current Approach :

For now, I am using the threads mode for my computations. Since MPI is likely more suitable for multi-node parallel computation on a cluster, I will continue to investigate the MPI settings to identify the problematic parameter.
