I have two questions, the first one is about the UAM Fortran Subroutine I am trying to model a moving load along a beam in Abaqus. I have the amplitude, its a constant velocity, I have the force and the total time that takes to move the load along a beam. I think that the best way is to use the UAMP subroutine but I dont know how can I define the beam.
The second one is about a parametric iteration study in Abaqus. This consists of checking acceleration in Abaqus until a convergence parameter is reached. I have the model and the script on python. But I am a little confused doing the parametric study.

Hi regarding parametric study using ABAQUS, you can write a shell script to run the solver in the background; post process the data to get your acceleration(fitness) based on certain set of parameters required by the model.
It is possible to write a code in python to use an optimization algorithm that takes the fitness response from the abaqus and generates next set of parameters.
lastly, decide a tolerance for the optimizer to stop.
