I am testing oviposition preference of and gravid females insect to four (04) treatment (T1, T2, T3, and a control). When conceiving the experimental design, is it better to submit simultaneously my insect to all the 04 treatments (four choice bioassay) or to conduct different two-choice bioassays (T1vsT2, T1vsT3, T1vsControl, T2vsT3, T2vsControl, and T3vsControl) ?????

By my personal thinking, when making a choice decision in the wild environment, insects are subjected to a plethora of factors at the same time; so when testing response of insect to different treatment it is better to make it simultaneously (case in multiple choice bioassay) because it is much more close to what insect is facing in the natural condition.

Waiting for your own thought.
