Can you recommend a supplier of fused quartz?
Using fused quartz as a surrogate for sand. Difficulty achieving transparency. Looking closely at the fused quartz grains, trapped air bubbles are visible and a likely problem (photo attached).
Looking for a new supplier.
Attached Sample Photo Info:
Pore fluid of Paraffin Oil and Mineral Oil (1.00:1.75) with RI of 1.4586 at 20 C.
Varied temperature +/- 3 degrees with no improvement in transparency.
Varied grain size of sample. The passing #20 was LESS transparent than the sample passing #50 (the finer the sample, the clearer)
Fuse quartz is pulvated into the fluid; virtually no air trapped in the fluid of the sample (photo attached).

I am using fused quartz to model sandy soil, but in a transparent medium, so we can observe the response of the soil under stress. That is, to actually see into the soil; something that cant be done with typical soils. Taped air in the crystals reduces transparency and I need a supplier that produces a completely clear product.
