Is it possible to translate the journal article's abstract to another language and post it to my blog/website?

Is the other site yours? If the answer is affirmative, it's better to rewrite the text, rather than simply translate it.
On the other hand, if somebody is simply copying your articles and translating them, the worst thing that could happen is to have Google think that the translated text is the original and your text is a copy. I know it's strange, but even Google messes the things up every now and then.
This could make Google devalue the original (your) content, lowering your site's rankings, and thus sending fewer visitors to your site.
Colin Sokol Kuka I actually want to translate journal paper on different language that general people can understand it easily. Many people find difficulties while reading the technical papers because of language barrier. Obviously, giving the credit to original author. In other sense, it might be plagiarize on purpose.
