This macro-invertebrate is collected from freshwater (highland streams) during wet season. The area is highland about more than 3565 meter above see level.

To me that looks like a Dermaptera (earwig). In that case it has fallen into the stream accidentally.

This looks like an earwig, Insecta order Dermaptera, family Forficulidae. These are terrestrial insects and should not occur naturally in water. Stoneflies, order Plecoptera, are true aquatic insects that also have elongated cerci, but those are typically filamentous and the aquatic juveniles have prominent tracheal gills. Earwigs like the one shown here may live in riparian zones and thus may be get into the water accidentally.

I agree, it's a Dermapteran, probably fallen from a tree branch, earwigs are all terrestrial beetles, some riparian forms like Labidura live on river banks, but it doesn't belong to this genus or related ones
your picture is not so clear, however it should be Dermaptera Anisolabididae
