Please be specific, because there are so many perspective related to this issue, for example: some anthers clarified that the company use CSR as a way to minimize the conflicts between the shareholders and stakeholders. On the other hand there are some others mentioned that CSR used to limit the conflict between shareholders and shareholders, and some times to limit the conflict between shareholders and managers. Moreover, the agency theory mentioned another perspective, which pointed that the managers of the firms use CSR for self interest, in order to improve them reputation.

Coming from a Stakeholder Perspective, fully embedded CSR would increase Management control, aka driving success as opposed to chasing after it. Worth mentioning that "top on" approaches usually do not work and only honest engagement with CSR leads to the desired outcome.
