Whether it is Titano magnetite? Fe2+(Fe3+,Ti)2O4,Ti bearing magnetite in its crystal structure or is it a intergrowth (usually lamellar/ blebs) of ilmenite and magnetitite?
In either case the task is not viable due to intimate association of Fe and Ti in the crushed product and titano magnetite as well as ilmenite are also magnetic to certain extent which hampers magnetic seperation.
If your focus is on research rather than economics, a satisfactory way to study the chemistry of the (titano)magnetite-ilmenite intergrowths is to apply EPMA technique. There is no point spending too much time on separation. Separation of the two to >99% purity may turn out to be a nightmare.
