I am looking to sinter Half-heusler material (Ti-alloy) by conventional sintering at 1000 deg Celsius. Can you suggest how long could it take for sintering to take place? Use of SPS gave rise to multiple phases and so I want to try doing it in vacuum sealed tube.

It does not matter whether sintering in argon or hydrogen will be performed, titanium oxide is formed in both cases (TiO2 can not reduces with hydrogen). Even in a vacuum 10-6 Pa, a titanium oxide layer will be formed.
