Hello everyone
this antenna is simple dipole antenna which resonant at 1 Ghz and its shap is near to isotropic now i want to make this antenna wideband for 1 Ghz to 7 Ghz
i try different technique like increase their width also use the substart but its not working .
what should i do ? kindly help me
Antennas like this are not wideband. Making the wire thicker will increase the bandwidth, but only to something like 10%. You require a bandwidth of 150%, (4 GHz +/-3 GHz), or a frequency ratio of 7:1. This requires either a scale invariant antenna - see conical antennas, spirals or log periodics - or multiple resonant elements.
Bring in some widths at difference points. As Malcolm mentioned, conical antenna is an example.
I agreed with the comments of the above colleagues. Such Ultra Wide Bandwidth can not be achieved by a wire antenna. Other shapes like the folded dipole, bow-tie dipole, conical antenna, and disk-cone antenna my help.
