The structure data can come from structure files or probe statements. For example, I'm trying to verify the current at the electrodes from probe statements of electron/hole current densities. I'm assuming the current densities underneath the electrodes (in terms of the mesh) is used. I've come very close to the potential at the electrodes. Not sure how anyone can interpret the electrode characteristics and structure data without checking that the numbers match.
So, I've calculated the electrode current from the current density probe data underneath the electrode (up to the mesh unit) exactly. For the potential, I'm still off 0.02 V out of 97.618 applied voltage. There's a (kT/q)(ln(ns/nie) term that's subtracted from the surface potential to get the applied voltage. Not sure what values of the boltzmann constant and electron charge that Silvaco actually uses. Also, for the potential and doping concentration I've taken the average value up to one mesh point underneath the electrode. I haven't been too specific about my device. etc. but am speaking more generally about how to calculate the electrode characteristics from the structure data, preferably from probe data. This helps to interpret structure files which are not as accurate, otherwise of what use is any of it.
