The first thing I would say is that I do not believe that being a girl means you should limit yourself to a specific type of research. If you have an aptitude for computing science, then you can carry out research in any area you want. Second, proper research is never "easy". You conduct research to break new ground, which means finding a suitable niche or problem to address. To do that, you need to read in your area of choice to find out where these niches or problems might exist. So how do you go about that?
Well, you have already expressed an interest in doing your work in software engineering and database, so you are off to a good start. My area of research is in security and privacy, particularly in the cloud, and this presents a huge opportunity to find interesting niches and problems to tackle.
I have added a list of possible research to look at in both the area of software engineering and databases. Most of these papers you will be able to access for free on Google Scholar. Simply copy and paste the title of the paper into the Google Scholar search box, and you should get access to it. I would recomment you have a scan down these lists to see if you can find anything that might interest you.
If you find something that really interests you, I would be happy to make further suggestions.
