How can i explain the Raman spectra of carbon material when D peak exists, while 2D peak does not. Could there be a reverse case when in Raman spectra we observe the overtone peak, a its fundamental peak we do not observe?
So, What is intensity relation of fundamental and overtone peaks in Raman spectrum?

1. In the case of carbon material 2D is not overtone. It is simply misleading term.
2. The intensity can be pushed to the overtone in the case of Fermi resonance.
3. Intensity relation of fundamental and overtone peaks in Raman spectrum depends on structure as well as on conditions of observation.

I studied detonation nanodiamond (DND). There would exist sp2-carbon in form of graphene or fullerenelike or maybe nanographite. How do you think about 2D peak in DND?
Generally, the relative intensity of the absorbance band of the first overtone of a fundamental is approximately one order magnitude less than the relative intensity of the fundamental absorption band in vibrational spectrum. (second overtone -> two orders of magnitude less, …and so on )

surely, your DND is not only diamond phase. I think, that 2D in your case is the sign of graphite phase or other defects.
