There is a conjested and a solution would be to design a bypass route, How can i write a thesis about it? something that starts with analysis of and a procedure would be helpful.
Keith Govo First you should have to evaluate the congestion to prove that it is worth enough to construct a bypass. You may use Greenshield Model to evaluate traffic congestion. By logically you would then show the need of alternative route to solve the current situation. After that, in recommendation part of your thesis you may propose the design of the bypass using your country standards.
Md Tufajjal Hossain Thank you. will try that. Also besides naming it Design of a Bypass how best can i name it? "Assessment of " as a key word will be prefereble.
You can start with empirical evidence and literature and then back up any theory with simulation and modelling. You can incoporate theories of peak spreading and load sharing of vehicles across the network and / or use cases that incorporate modal shift to take x number of vehicles off of the road. I am by no means an expert! I work on project management for these sorts of projects and therefore have a limited working knowledge of these sorts of engineering principles and applications.
You can do a level of service (LOS) analysis using any available software like synchro or Vissim. Evalute LOS for different traffic management interventions and finally suggest the one you deem appropriate.
