Theory correlating nanostructuring and Raman gain?

I know about theories correlating Raman frequency or bandwidth with nanostructuring, but not with the Raman Intensity. Does anyone know about any consolidated theory that correlates nanostructuring and Raman gain?

We had interesting evidence waiting for a clear theoretical interpretation:
