Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors have the potential to providing hign torque-to-current ratio, high power-to-weight ratio, high efficiency and robustness. Due to the above favorable points, PMSMs are commonly used in latest variable speed AC drives, particularly in Electric Vehicle applications.

Dear Khoudir Kakouche,
Its rotor has constant magnetic but needs the variable magnetic field so these motors want the variable frequency power source to start. Permanent magnet synchronous motors require a drive to operate it cannot run without a driver.
