In my previous doctoral studies, which I completed in October 2022, I explored the topic of business ethics in the sharing economy. During my research, I discovered the intersection between business ethics and various technological advancements, such as artificial intelligence and blockchain.

I plan to undertake another doctoral study soon, and the provisional title of my thesis is "The Ethical Implications of AI Writing Tools on Leadership and Doctoral Students in Higher Education Institutions." The study aims to examine the ethical challenges faced by leadership and students in higher education institutions regarding the use of new technologies, such as AI-assisted writers.

The primary research question is, "How do AI writing tools influence the ethical dimensions of leadership and doctoral students in higher education institutions?" With the increasing use of AI writing tools in doctoral studies, it is essential to understand how they impact ethical considerations in academia.

While many studies have raised concerns about the ethical impact of robots, I intend to use AI-assisted writers to aid me in my research and writing. However, I will transparently indicate instances where I use the work of the AI writers and differentiate it from my original work. I will always adhere to ethical norms applicable to academic research.

So far, I have tested Consensus, Elicit AI, Jenni AI, Litmaps, Mirrorthink AI, Scite, Scispace, SciSummary AI, and Scholar AI. Some others include Aithor, Avidnote, Scolarcy and TextLayer AI. I have stayed away from ChatGPT as it has been labelled/accused of hallucinating.

Some of the questions I have:

• Can you recommend suggested literature about AI writers and other AI-assisted tools?

• Which are the best or most-used AI writers in the academy, and do you have suggested literature about your statement?

Do you have any other issues you may want to raise?

Thank you.
