I am currently working on my MSc final dissertation in Innovation and Marketing and the focus is on the State contribution to the Green Industrial revolution and the consequent competitive advantage for the firms.
Could you please suggest me some scientific literature supporting this topic?
I have already found some authors dealing with the theoretical framework on the managerial side (such as Mazzucato, Koundate, Samaritani, Polanyi, Sen, Sukhdev and Grant) but I have a lack of knowledge on the strictly scientific side.
Also an advise on other relevant authors in the managerial field would be very useful.

I think the green industrial revolution has different effects on industry sectors. A part of the changes customer driven (I), another part is public---->legislation driven (II), and also can be risk mitigation driven (III). Sometimes companies can have a higher margin on green products (organic, bio, fair-trade, green labeled), at times they cannot sell if they are not green (no margin increase, they struggle for the market share). As the environmental consciousness is growing, new opportunities are available. Also, there are real environmental performance development and marketing.
The green industry itself is booming (category IV). Renewables, solar panels, wind power plants are new businesses. Energy companies and governments are threatened by the decentralized energy systems (rooftop solar) since there is no more need for their active contribution, they will be out of business, cannot make a profit (governments' importance will decrease significantly). Electric cars also compete with traditional vehicles. It looks like the renewable business will create more jobs than the traditional companies lose, but the profit of the fossil and car manufacturing business will drop, so some shareholders have to face of losing money.
Put it in a nutshell, the impact of turning green should be analyzed by sectors; some aggregated indicators cannot describe the direction of the change correctly.
Please do not use my categories as a right classification from a green industry perspective, a good team work would give you smarter segments.

I think that you will find that substantial state contribution to any business tends to decrease competitiveness as it promotes an attitude of 'we'll be all right' whatever they do as the state intervention bales out error.

Great topic! You may want to review the scandal attributed to green industries in the US that carried both political and economic implications. These contribute to the argument that has persisted since the 1970's under the Carter Administration: that green sources have yet to yield rewards for tackling an energy crisis.
In 2011, Solyndra shut down, "leaving 1,100 people out of work and taxpayers obligated for $535 million in federal loans."
