Hi Rohim:
Interesting subject. I completed your survey - and you may want to have a look at the paper attached. Some good stuff on tacit to implicit knowledge and organizational learning - to then hopefully create increased productivity (whether individually or organizationally). One thing to consider is that there is often an "adoption lag" - where, along with the learning curve, the complimentary surrounding processes have to be changed or adapted to then be able to maximize the new knowledge or capabilities. Look at ICT investment and productivity articles (I suggest both the Eric Brynjolfsson and the Bart van Ark literature streams - real good stuff there - likely 2004-ish and beyond for both authors) if you need to get an understanding of that lag and the empirical evidence of said lag - there may be a comparison or analogy you could use.

Knowledge encompasses both explicit and tacit. Although tacit knowledge is difficult to analyze, but many researches have found that tacit knowledge predicts organizational performance.
Why not starting with Hayek "On the Use of Knowledge in Society", American Economic Review 1945. See Hayek's taxonomy of knowledge and his notion that the man on the spot often knows much better than experts do.
If you have started with Hayek you may continue going in different directions. Among those I recommend Michael Polanyi (1966). The Tacit Dimension, New York: Doubleday.
My Ph.D paper is about the team knowledge sharing. I definitely would be interedted in the results, too. Nice and interesting way to tacit knowledge in organizational productivity.
