The origin of pottery is a global issue in archaeology. In recent decades, with the chronology of the early potteries in East Asia dating back to earlier period, it provided rich materials for discussing the origin of pottery! I think it is important to put the origin of pottery in a large context during the Late Pleistocene, to pay more attention to various Background-contexts.
